Windows 10: The Window to RULE – Quick Highlights

The consumer market continues to evolve rapidly. The consumers are expecting everything to work on everything seamlessly!

This somewhere marks the emergence of the subtle theme – “agnostic relationship” of consumers with digital devices – “ubiquity “.

In this very first blog in this series, we will be capturing a quick snippet of the highlights in Windows10 and are going to continue in-depth about each feature in successive posts.

Key Highlights:

  • One OS Across All Devices

    Windows 10 is being designed to run across broadest range of devices- a unique tailored experience for tablets, desktops, mobiles and smartphones. It also gets a “simple and single” way to write a universal application, one store, one way for apps – to be discovered, purchased and updated across all of these devices.

  • Touch-Centric tiles with some of the favorite apps have surfaced back- a pleasure again to the user! These are touch-centric and provide notifications from applications such as messengers, updates.
  • No more switching between “Desktop Mode” and the “touch-focused mode”
  • The Famous “Start Button” surfaces back again
  • Quadrant layout called “snap enhancements ” that will allow four apps to be seen simultaneously

At the outset, Windows10 looks indeed in the direction of Microsoft’s vision- “Unifying a brand across all devices”. It has done a phenomenal job and indeed taken a bold move to cater to a diverse audience who use plethora of devices from traditional to new-age. Windows10 is a step in the right direction for enterprise customer as an audience for Microsoft.
