My 1st Blog at blogs.msdn.com
Recently Microsoft accepted my blog on Windows 2012 R2 and Exchange 2013 SP1 to publish at blogs.msdn.com.
I would like to share the moment and the blog for you reference.
In this blog I have talked about the Exchange 2013 SP1 benefits over Windows 2012 R2 with some of their features.
Some extract of the blog is below:
4. MAPI over HTTP: Messaging Application Programming Interface (MAPI) over HTTP is a new protocol to connect outlook. It improves the reliability and stability in connection by moving transport layer to HTTP model. If outlook connection breaks this will reconnect the session faster because of tcp connection. We need to ensure to use the exchange 2013 SP1 and outlook 2013 SP1 to use this feature. By default this feature is disabled. If you don’t want to use this feature then you can still use outlook anywhere or we can enable both of them and in case any client is not outlook 2013 SP1, it can connect using outlook anywhere. This is an organization – wide feature which can be enabled for whole organization and not per server. To enable this protocol run the below command:
Set-OrganizationConfig -MapiHttpEnabled $true
At the same time we might need to check registry key mentioned in this article
5. Data Loss Prevention policy tips will be showing up in Desktop and mobile Outlook Web App as well.
6. Document Fingerprinting: Document Fingerprinting is a Data Loss Prevention (DLP) feature that converts a standard form into a sensitive information type, which you can use to define transport rules and DLP policies.

Hi Pradhat,
I used to watch your training or other videos, Microsoft related.
I joined with a New company as a IT Manager.
Here we are using Exchange Server 2010 in a very old Server with Windows Standard 2008 R2.
I’m willing to install Exchange 2013 in a New VMware C with Windows Server 2012 R2 (Data Center).
Can I do DAG with Exc-2010 with Exc-2013? Existing Server having around 500GB Database.
Need your advice.
