New Outlook Add-Ins : Uber, PayPal, Evernote
As announced at Build 2015 Developers conference, Microsoft recently rolled out a new set of Outlook add-ins, commencing with Exchange 2013 business users, Outlook 2013 and Outlook on the web for Office365.
The first set of add-ins include the likes of Uber, Boomerang, PayPal and Evernote and the soon to be launched include Yelp, Microsoft’s Wanderlust and IFTTT.
The idea behind these add-ins is closely related to enhancing productivity for users by enabling them to use these apps within Outlook rather having to access them separately.
Boomerang:
What It Does : Allows you to schedule your Inbox activities ranging from- setting a reminder to send an email, notifying if you didn’t receive a reply for your email, share real time calendar presence and schedule meetings with a smart calendar assistant.
Boomerang add-in is now integrated and available on Outlook 2013, Outlook on web for Office 365 mailboxes and will soon be available on Outlook.com
Uber
What It Does: Allows you to set calendar reminders for your planned ride with a single click connecting you to your Uber drive by confirming the ride. By swiping on the confirm ride, your Uber cab is on the way.
Uber Add-in is now integrated and available on Outlook 2013, Outlook on web for Office 365 mailboxes and will soon be available on Outlook.com
Evernote:
What It Does : Lets you add notes for reference, clip notes in your email, add tags for an additional level of organization.
Evernote Add-in is now integrated and available on Outlook 2013, Outlook on web for Office 365 mailboxes but this requires your Exchange admin’ for installing the add-in. This will soon be available on Outlook.com
PayPal:
What It Does : Empowers you to pay your bills and do the transfers directly from your inbox.
